Alkyl Polyglycoside (APG) Product Introduction
1. Basic Introduction
APG is short for Alkyl Polyglycoside, a kind of green nonionic surfactant derived from renewable raw materials: glucose extracted from corn or potatoes and fatty alcohol from coconut or palm oil, independent of petroleum resources.
2. Common Grades & Specifications
Conventional solid content: 50% and 70%. It is light yellow viscous liquid at room temperature and turns milky paste when cooled.

Ultra-mild & Low Irritation
Far less irritating to skin and mucous membranes than LAS, AES and SLES. Ideal for infant care and sensitive skin formulas with extremely low eye irritation.
Excellent Compatibility
Compatible with anionic, cationic, amphoteric and other nonionic surfactants. It can reduce the overall irritation of mixed formulas with no incompatibility issues.
Strong Environmental Resistance
Stable under pH 2–12, resistant to hard water, high electrolyte concentration and high temperature; no cloud point and no delamination in harsh systems.
Eco-friendly & Fully Biodegradable
Biodegradation rate over 95% in natural environment. Phosphorus-free, formaldehyde-free and benzene-free. Compliant with REACH and RoHS standards for EU export.
Multifunctional Performance
Low surface tension with superior wetting and penetrating power; fine and rich foam; natural thickening ability; certain bacteriostatic effect.
4. Application Fields
Personal Care & Cosmetics
Shampoo, body wash, facial cleanser, makeup remover, baby care products, sensitive skin skincare, mousse cleansers. Usually compounded with CAB-35, AES and amino acid surfactants.
Household Cleaning
Food-grade dish soap, fruit & vegetable cleaner, undergarment detergent, multi-purpose degreaser, laundry pods and transparent soap.
Industrial Cleaning & Auxiliaries
Textile industry: high-temperature alkaline scouring agent and degreaser for pre-printing & dyeing treatment
Hard surface cleaning: machinery degreaser, metal cleaner, floor and pipeline descaling agent
Oilfield industry: foaming agent for drilling and oil displacement auxiliary
Agriculture: pesticide emulsifier and penetration additive for foliar fertilizer
